Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

QuickFinSync ("we") is currently offered as a free early beta. This policy explains what data we process, why, and how you can control it.

1. Files you reconcile in the app

Bank statements, CSV exports and PDFs you open in the reconciliation engine are parsed in your browser. The raw files are not uploaded to our servers. Recent sessions you choose to keep are stored in your own browser's local storage.

2. Client portal uploads

When a client uses a bookkeeper's upload link, the file is parsed in the client's browser and only the resulting transaction summary is sent to our server over HTTPS. It is visible only to the bookkeeper who owns the link and is automatically deleted after 7 days.

3. Account data

  • Name, email address and a hashed password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google).
  • Client records, categorization rules and portal submissions you create.
  • Session information (IP address and browser user agent) used for security and to show your active devices.
  • Feedback messages you send us.

4. Service providers

  • Hosting: a virtual private server operated by Hostinger (database and application).
  • Email delivery (when enabled): Resend.
  • Error monitoring (when enabled): Sentry, without request bodies or file contents.
  • Privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics (when enabled): Umami or Plausible.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

5. Retention

Portal submissions are deleted after 7 days. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Database backups stored on the same server are retained for up to 14 days and then overwritten.

6. Your rights

You can download all your data as JSON and permanently delete your account at any time from the Account window in the app. For any other request, contact us via the WhatsApp support button.

7. Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and note the date above.
